The 23 Wars of the Dragon

The War of Alluria Leo 1A2-2403A2
The War of Alluria was the first to break out in this age. According to historians, this war was said to be the catalyst to the rest and was the only War ever fought on the Planet of Leo. The war was named after a Dragonian paladin. She was dedicated to what was known as the True Kaiser and refused to take a side as to either one being "better". She was also responsible for creating the Talisman of Champions. Owing to the fact that the war lasted such a long time, historians believe either that her work was completed after she died or that her spirit was resurrected to finish it. A few minor historians believe that her spirit was torn with such grief at the fighting that she couldn't rest after her death and still worked tirelessly to end it all.

The Tomb War Libra 99A2-1531A2
After decades of ignorance, words reach the Librans of the war taking place on Leo. As most panicked people do, they lost reason and decided to attemtpt to turn to the legend of the mage Leoma, who was said to be buried somewhere on the planet. With Leoma to protect them, they wouldn't need to worry about death, for she was almost a goddess. The problem was that no one knew exactly where her tomb was buried. This created six factions that were searching for it and warring between themselves. These factions were: The Shade, a group of combined ninja forces that were ruthless in their search; The Scourge, a pirate force, lead by Captain Aliaga Swordhand, who wanted the mage not for protection but for complete takeover; The Seventh Band, a human army lead by King Adamant who believed himself to be responsible for the fate of the planet; Ca'hora, the Elven army who really didn't care for any of it, until the Seventh Band entered their homeland; The Monks of Mathas, a temple that was concerned with the results of the feud set out to try and open the tomb themselves; and The Misfits; a hodgepodge of different people and creatures that came together in search. It is reported that none of them found the tomb and was left to wonder if Leoma was even truly sealed on the planet at all. (Though the whisper underground was that the tomb was found, but could not be breeched.)

The Bloodlust Sagittarius 147A2-1984A2
In the 147th year of the second age, clouds started to appear over Sagittarius. The different clans of the Thri'kreen became restless. While they were carnivorous by nature, they never killed more than they were going to eat. Soon, this turned for a need for blood. They started killing for the sheer love of killing and soon all the Thri'kreen started to war amongst themselves. All other living races who inhabited this planet were either killed or were made to hide underground for fear of genecide. By 1984A2, only one tribe was left. Having no other blood to spill, they turned on each other. A few moments after the beginning of the battle, a light appeared in the sky, quelling their bloodlust. To this day, they are the only tribe of Thri'kreen left on the planet and feel anguished at what they had done.

The Beast Wars Cancer 369A2-2201A2
Since the first age, all the desert beasts of Cancer lived together peacefully with each other. It was at this time that humans appeared. Historians are still unaware of how they came to be here, as humans did not exist on this planet or it's neighboring planets. Using up needed supplies caused the beasts to get upset. Some allied themselves with different human tribes, some with other beasts. The Wars broke out and killing began. Though alliances were constantly forged and broken, historians have noticed a general pattern for some of them. Even with the unsteady flow of the killings, there seemed to be two main factions: The Carrions and the Underminers. The Carrions generally consisted of most of the human race that were allied with birds of prey, desert tigers, and such. The underminers were lead by an advanced race of Centipedes, combined with a few human tribes and those that perferred the dark underground. The end resulted in a stalemate between the two after the Battle of Inordeen. A treatise was signed so that each faction ruled half the planet.

The Alchemist War Capricorn 420A2-1001A2
On this tiny frozen planet, lived a great number of alchemists of different origins. Historians are not sure why they started to fight, but as alchemy does, it had quite an effect on the planet. Within six hundred years of mathematical and geometric calculations being slain upon the earth, the plants started to grow, much more than they were. Soon, they took the forms of people and were able to walk around. Knowing the alchemists would continue fueding, they struck out at them. Only a few alchemists were able to escape the plants' backlash and ended up hiding together. No one knows if a hidden alchemist city still exists on Capricorn or if the descendants had left in the following age, when they were able.

War of the Tides Pisces 422A2-2310A2
On the planet of Pisces, the weather was controlled by the Scepter of Tides. King Phillis was growing old, however and he had no heir. Before he was able to make a judgement as to who would take over, he had passed away (some historians argue that he was poisoned). Soon, the waves on the planet were out of control. The small amount of land that existed on the planet was flooded as teh tides rose and rains came down. Throughout the years, the Scepter passed from hand to hand, the weather changing dramatically with each. In the end, the war only stopped because the Scepter was lost. (Some historians argue that the scepter was actually hidden by one of the factions and was just waiting for the time to unveil it).

War of the Sun Aquarius 502A2-939A2
On the ocean planet of Aquarius, living near the equator meant constant sun and warmth. Most of the creatures living on this planet worshipped this. When the northern water serpents came down and decided they were sick of living in the cold, the fights broke out. The factions were known as the Warm Bloods and the Cold Bloods. Eventually the war died of it's own accord simply because the Cold Blood decided they didn't like the area they were fighting for and went back to the Arctic reefs.

The Hammer for Brimstone Virgo 639A2-2000A2
The main group that colonized Virgo was the Snow Dwarves. The Snow Dwarves generally lived in peace until one day the Brimstone Hammer was stolen by a group of Muckjaw Goblins. That is when the Hammer fell (note: in the dwarvish tongue, "hammer" also means war). While the Snow Dwarves were used to the cold, the Brimestone Hammer brought heat into their mountains and allowed them to work with the metals that were otherwise too cold to work. The Goblins had their own plans to craft metal and so also needed the hammer. In the time this war went on, Brimstone must have passed between the two sides at least two dozen times, working armor and weapons for both sides. Finally, in the year 2000A2, an accident occured that split Brimstone in two. Each side considered it a great loss and went into a Bloodlust Feud. It was known as the Battle of No Victory. So much bloodshed occured before both sides retreated at the same time. The last ones to leave the field were an old Dwarf named Tarr and the Goblin Kahok. They approached the split hammer and found that both sides were still usable and in good condition. While they could never truly befriend one another, they agreed to call a truce, each having one half of the hammer. The Core went to the dwarves and Tarr was named King and ruled for a great long time, bringing prosperiy to his people. Kahok, likewise was named Emperor of the Goblins with The Flame at his side. Both sides were contented and, to this day, haven't hammered since.

Battle of the Game Lords Gemini 804A2-1002A2
Gemini is not a physically brutal planet. Given there are some creatures on it that are savage, but for the most part, they are intelligent creatures who have a distaste for physical muscle. Therefore, war, in the common sense, was completely out of the question. What they had instead was a magical quiz and skill tournament. Mages and magical creatures gathered from all over to Rhylos, the capital city of Gemini. There were three teams barring no race or species: The Cathodes were a positive bunch that excelled in creation; The Anodes excelled in negation of things; and the Neurodes who were a bit of the jacks of all trades. After a little under 200 years of the "Game Show", The Neurodes were declared the winner and the main city was changed to Algor (the home for most of the Neurodes.

The Flightbot Tinker War Aries 901A2-2100A2
The Crabsbar Gnomes and the Kr'ek Gore Goblins had a mutal dislike with each other that lasted since the first age. However, while they didn't agree, it had never come to arms before. That all changed with an accident (due to faults on both parts). The beginning to this war has different stories depending on the sides. The Gnomes say that the Goblins sabatoged their simulators to destroy them and then it blew up in their faces. The Goblins say that the Gnomes unsuspectingly drew them near to blow up. The facts that the historians were able to gather was that a malfunction at a gas mine caused both sides to lose at least a dozen people. After the Tragedy at Belthaks, all went to hell. Each side kept devising different destructive flying machines until in 2100A2 a group of rebels from both sides got together and formed what was known as the Disarment Treaty. Getting the leaders of both sides to sign this, the planet Aries was able to get back into it's original state of dislike between the two.

The Grell Conflict Taurus 985A2-1856A2
The deadliest of planets had the deadliest of Wars. While Taurus always was and most likely always will be the most dangeros planet to be on, it now seem tame after The Grell Conflict. Not much is known about this war (mostly because historians are too terrified to find out the information). All that is known is that a now extinct race of creatures went into a bloodlust and combed the lands looking to kill. After this war, everything became even more of a high alert and now this is the planet that holds the strongest warriors in existance...if they haven't all died...

An Krel'Gok Ha 1146A2-1651A2
The En'kre Orcs were a peaceful people until they were invaded by Jandra Flame Dwarves who believed in their own superiority. The war was named, by the Orcs, after the day it began. An Krel'Gok roughly translates to "The Massacre." Never having any need for weapons, they were defenseless as the Dwarves came in and slaughtered many. Those that could not get away either died or became slaves. Instead of thinking of revenge, they thought of taking back their land. In an ~500 year campaign, the Orcs learned to fight and defend themselves against the Dwarves. They became masters of the Shamanistic Rituals of Fire and were able to summon Fire Elementals at will. In the end, the dwarves retreated where, to this day, they still fight back against the orcs, not forgiving them for the death that was caused. The Orcs, meanwhile, lived as spiritually as they can despite the attacks.

The Chlorophyll War Capricorn 1232A2-2400A2
Plants, by nature, create clorophyll. However, after such an evolution at a rapid rate, some of them lost the ability to produce it, losing their green pigmentation. In order for them to get the chlorophyll tha they needed, they had to feed off of other plants. This started an all out war. Plants that were allies soon turned to enemies and those that could still produce chlorophyll went into hiding (when they could move).

The war ended when they found out that they could survive on consuming hemoglobin as well (a product found in blood). Now they hunt for either plant or animal to feed. While a war is unnecessary, it meant that the animals had to be weary of wherever they went.

Feet vs. Fin Mizu 1298A2-1649A2
By the second age, the planet had a 5% landmass base. Those in the water, generally, despised the land creatures and so decided that they would fight to get rid of them and submerge the land. For about 350 years, they tried to invade the land goers. Obviously, when confronted on their own territory the land-walkers were able to push back the tide and suffered minimal causalties. The end occurred when the sea-farers sulked and went back to their domain. However, this prevented the land-walkers from fishing as a means of sustainance. Only the bravest would do so, as the sea-farers would kill any who approached, but only the strongest and craftiest would survive. The only fish that was available to them was fresh-water from streams.

Elemental Feud Kaze 1324A2-2056A2
The main inhabitants on this gas planet are air elementals. In 1324A2, the different species of these elementals bound together and started attacking each other. The reason for it is, to this day, unclear. One can suspect that it was the fault of one of the races as the war stopped after the entire race was wiped out.

Cn'gok of the Nomads Tsuchi 1356A2-1629A2
All the info here

The Aegis Tsuchi 1581A2-1996A2
In the Second Age were three brothers. They were all brothers by blood, but were of different races. One was half-elven, named Fiore. the second was half-dwarven, name Thiag. The last was half-orc, named Icheric. (For more on their heritage, a story will appear in the ancient history section). It was strange, what happened. For most of their lives, they lived peacefully with one another. Then one day, they started to fight and it broke out and destroyed the land. Three towers were built, one for each brother. Finally, when the towers were activated, the war drew to a halt. It became a standstill since none of the towers could advance in power.

The Glacial War Aquarius 1649A2-2032A2
In 1649A2, there appeared a Cold Blood that could freeze the water (or significantly drop the temperature). This creature lead an uprising to, once again, try to take over the territory of the Warm Bloods. The battle that was waged was bloody and, obviously, cold. The only thing that saved them was a smith known as Persides who mystically crafted a jewel known as Kendra's Flame. It can turn back even the iciest chill, which, in turn, turned back the cold bloods. After the creation of the Flame, the territories became directly marked. It is said that, now, when you cross the territorial barrier, you must survive the shock between climates.

Civil War on Al'hai'mei Tsuchi 1799A2-2134A2
On the eastern continent of Al'hai'mei, the Elves lived in peace, until trade routes started to connect the islands. Soon, two factions broke out between them. The High Elves viewed themselves as too good to intermingle with the other races and wanted solitude. The Brethren, on the other hand, embraced the outsiders and wanted to improve their talents with new technologies. For a little over 300 years, these two factions vied for dominance. Finally, in 2134A2, they got together for a meeting known as the Council of Celi (pronounced kel'-ee), in which they agreed that the Brethren can dominate the outer part of the island and allow traders to come through on the condition that The High Elves never see the outsiders, thus creating what is now known as the "Inner Sanctum".

The Amber Takeover Tsuchi 1856A2-2402A2
Up until now, the druids have stayed out of the business of the rest of the world. By now they have amassed such numbers that they wage war to take over the rest of the forest continent on which they live. Man and beast alike waged war on the citizens and hostile inhabitants that would not leave nature to be nature. Only those who agreed to live by the rule of the forest were allowed to stay.

The Inverse Proportion Mizu 1882A2-2116A2
A few hundred years after the previous war, situations hadn't changed and the fresh-water fish went extinct. Knowing that they were in a desperate situation and would be on the verge of extinction, they waged war themselves on the sea. On this planet, living on the land required a certain bit of craftiness, because you were in more danger than if you lived in the sea. This enabled the land-walkers to learn to summon water elementals to their aids. By controlling the water, they were at a severe advantage. By the end of the war, the land ended up expanding. The percentage of land rose to 40%, pushing the sea back. To this day, crossing between the two main continents require those with skills to summon elementals and cannot be done without.

The War for Getzus Scorpio 1903A2-2402A2
The Planet Scorpio was said to be the most advanced planet in the galaxy. They had a plethora of knowledge and wisdom all to themselves. Owing to the fact that Scorpio is the farthest out, it was the last to be affected by the Dragon Wars, but hit the hardest. By the year 1900A2, whispers were being had of trouble. The once peaceful planet was starting to be undermined by whispers of the dark and secrets. Three years later, the Attack of Kiln had sprung the war to full fling when a dozen royal guards slaughtered a bunch of peasents for proclaimed hearsy. Some historians argue that the claim was not even relatively valid, but that the guards were acting out of spite and fear. After the Attack, the War soon became a battle between the haves and have nots. Peasants were fighting the royalty (and losing), but no one knew what they were fighting about. Finally, a cause came out. Neither side wanted to relinquish control over the Holy City, Getzus. It was the one city that was ruled both by the aristocrats and commoners alike (with clergy on top, obviously). The commoners saw this as a usurping of what thoughts they had. The aristocrats concluded that if they were about to capture Getzus, the war would be won and the resistance put down. The war ended when the High Priest Tarsus met a mysterious paladin from another planet who helped to shine light on the country. With the power that was unleashed, peace reigned, but at a terrible price for the planet of Scorpio. Night turned into day, and day became night. The heat rose to an unbearable climate and only the holy temple was left unscathed.

The Tournament of Illithiad Gemini 2203A2-2301A2
A number of historians do not count this as a war, as all the fighting that had taken place had been inside rules of a tournament, but the rest strongly believe that this is as close a war for Gemini as you can get. The Cathodes and Anodes, by now, have been mysteriusly disappearing. It was said that to belong to either was beyond foolhardy and a sure death sentence. The remaining members of those groups met together in secret (a meeting that today is known a the "Meeting of Glen Oak" named after the meeting place). They devised a challenge for the Neurodes that they would not be able to pass up. The Tournament of Illithiad was to challenge their way of life and dictate the ruler of the lands. It consisted of a series of barbaric battles and mind-numbing puzzles and contests; the total of which came to 100. One person from each society was sent to battle it out. In this particular tournament, each side won 33. By the final challenge, all the sides were exhausted and ended up in a draw. Owing to the nature of these people, it was then decreed that a democracy would ensue. Now the Tournament of Illithiad is held every 10 years to honor this (though the number of challenges was dropped to 50 owing to the trying circumstances of creating them)
